Admission To Uc Berkeley ~ Transfer?

I am a resident of Connecticut going to the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL.
I’m studying Psychology and I’ve got a 3.846 cumulative GPA and a 3.910 Upper-Division GPA and 73 credit hours based on the semester system (I’m a junior).
I have my psychology lower-division classes out of the way and the following core classes
Math
College Algebra
Trigonometry
Calculus I Honors
Composition
English I
English II *
English Comp Honors
Science
Biomolecular Science I + Lab
College Physics I*
* In Progress
I also have a host of other credits (there’s too many classes to list). 20 of my 73 credits are honors classes.
If it matters, which I don’t think it does, I worked for two years in for systems engineering in the leadership development program building servers for an insurance corporation in Hartford, CT.
I also have memberships to the American Psychological Organization, American Medical Association, Alpha Lambda Delta, and the National Honor Society in Psychology.
Question: Anyone have similar experience applying to Berkeley? What do you think my chances are?

I usually wouldn’t answer this since I’m not well versed on the subject, but since you have no answers at this point I’ll give it a shot.
If you were a California student you would be very competitive and would most likely be accepted. But as an out of state transfer, it lowers your chances. You have great stats, but that doesn’t always seal the deal. Berkeley places a lot of emphasis on the personal statement (admissions essay) and if you write an amazing one, I think you’ll get in.
Keep in mind you will be paying a very high tuition rate coming from out of state, but perhaps you’re already familiar with that being a CT resident in Florida.
Lastly, check out http://askmssun.livejournal.com/ for some great tips and advice on how to get into Cal. I credit Ms. Sun (who runs that blog, and is a top answerer here on the higher education page) a great deal with my acceptance to Cal and UCLA.
And don’t forget UC applications are due online by November 30th which is coming up fast.
    Good luck to you!
